The order of likelihood has to be:

1. High Rock
2. Summerset Isle
3. Hammerfell Read more

I mean...I think you just listed the three places we definitely know it isn’t. I would love a game in any of them, but this very clearly doesn’t seem to be those. Read more

So, you’re not the first person to say “Summerset is a whole chain of islands,” which...it is most definitely not. It is two islands.

My favorite part of this comment is it implies that if a hitter attempts to hit a sac fly, they will succeed 100% of the time. Read more

It asks them to decide if they will abstain from mass violence or give into their inner troll. Read more

I would disagree here. What’s been described of Valenwood makes it far more exotic than Hammerfell. Read more

Yeah...I don’t think you understand what a “core” title is. Fallout 76 is not one, as evidenced by the fact it isn’t called Fallout 5 and isn’t a continuation of the main series. Whether it’s part of the universe is irrelevant to whether it’s a core title. Read more

That’s fair, but I think it’s harder to retcon now when the universe is more fleshed out than it was a decade and a half ago. Read more

In most scenarios I think you’d be right, but Bethesda knows their single player games will make BUUUUUTTLOADS of money, and I feel like they wouldn’t add multiplayer to core titles in case it drives people away. It very much feels like any desire they have to do multiplayer is focused on non-core titles (ESO, Fallout Read more

You...do know what the second “M” stands for, right? Read more

I don’t know that ESO doing it would make it unlikely given that ES6 isn’t likely to come out for at least a year and a half at this point. But yeah, I’ll be stunned if it’s anywhere other than those three options. Read more

I still think the order of likelihood is:

1. High Rock
2. Summerset Isle
3. Hammerfell

But none of them would really surprise me all that much. If this somehow turns out to be fucking Black Marsh or Elsweyr and they’re just mindfucking us hard, THEN I’ll be blown away. Read more

I guess. I do think High Rock is the most likely here, but I also don’t think Summerset can be completely eliminated as a possibility (the same way we can definitively eliminate Valenwood and Elsweyr).

Also, dammit, why didn’t we get Valenwood or Elsweyr? Read more

I don’t think you’re wrong — I just think if they were going to do Hammerfell, they’d most likely show us something stereotypically desert-like. The only counterargument I can see here is if they were SPECIFICALLY trying to keep us from knowing it’s Hammerfell, because a sandy desert would scream it immediately. Read more

I gotta say, I’m kind of wondering if you saw a different video than I did — I didn’t see desert there. Look at it this way: plenty of Skyrim is green, but what we saw of it (unsurprisingly) was the frozen parts because that’s what everyone thinks of. Hammerfell’s deep deserts are definitely sandy, and nothing about Read more

I think Bethesda prides itself on single player games to the point where they won’t make any primary titles in ES, Fallout (there’s a reason Fallout 76 isn’t a core title), or even Starfield multiplayer. MAYBE they go co-op. But that’s a big if.

It’s a good question about mods, and I think that’s another reason they Read more

High Rock is most likely given the visuals here, but I still can’t believe they’d retread old ground before they’d go to a new place. Read more

Hammerfell is also heavily associated with a desert environment, so you’d think if it was going to be Hammerfell, they’d make it look like that.

I wouldn’t complain — Hammerfell is my third choice after Elsweyr and Valenwood — but I don’t quite buy it. Read more
