Lifetime’s first teaser-trailer for its Beaches remake is the visual equivalent of a slumber party group sob. There are hugs (so many hugs). There’s a beautiful child with a single tear meandering down her face. There’s ye olde slow-motion run through a hospital corridor.
There’s also Idina Menzel singing “Wind Beneath My Wings,” so prepare yourselves accordingly. She co-stars in the remake with Nia Long, and with their forces combined, I’m confident that our tear ducts are doomed.
