The weed-smoking grandmas have arrived! Not only has their video reached over seven million views (not bad for first-timers), but America's new sweethearts Paula, Dorothea, and Deirdre were written up on this very site. And they were concerned.
Speaking with Animal New York, the creator of the video, Mike Gaston, said he knew the video would end up blowing up — smart! We love weed-smoking grandmas —but the grandmas weren't too excited to be on a website named after a haughty queen who liked makeup too much.

Are you shocked that it's reached more than 6 million views in less than 24 hours?
Yeah, it's one of those things where we shot this and I was like, "Oh I think this is going to do well," but when you're in a shoot, you can never tell if the fun in the shoot is going to translate to the edit. I remember that after the shoot, I tell one of the grandmas, "I'm pretty sure this is going to end up on Jezebel." I forgot that I was talking to grandmas. They were all like, "Jezebel? I don't know if I want to be on a site called Jezebel!"
Listen, Mike Gaston: The next step is clearly the grandmas getting high with me (I get panic attacks from weed, btw). Can we make this happen? I have already pitched it! Barring that, can I at least give them hugs?
