Two Women Brawl With Spongebob Squarepants

Here is a video of a man dressed like Spongebob Squarepants dancing on Hollywood boulevard — until he's beaten on by two young women with dyed red hair. Then the police show up. Yeah, we don't know what the hell is going on either.

It might be a trying-too-hard viral video, except that the Los Angeles police confirmed to the LA Times that there had been a "brief incident with two females."

The women weren't arrested, although they were questioned by police. TMZ tracked down the man under the costume — via a man in a Barney costume, another dressed as the Green Lantern, and a Michael Jackson impersonator — who said he didn't press charges because he's wanted on transit-related charges.

He claimed the women thought he was saying something about their moms. Maybe they were just engaging in a little extra-aggressive hollaback-ing?
