Republican presidential candidate and human embodiment of pimento loaf Donald Trump believes there’s nothing he can do that would put an end to the loyalty of his supporters. During a campaign rally held at Iowa’s Dordt College on Saturday, Trump said, “I have the most loyal people, did you ever see that? I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot people and I wouldn’t lose voters.”
The Hill reports Trump’s comments were made in response to a recently published issue from conservative magazine National Review, which features 22 essays condemning Trump’s candidacy. “Donald Trump is a menace to American conservatism who would take the work of generations and trample it underfoot on behalf of a populism as heedless and crude as The Donald himself,” the magazine states, according to CNN.
Killing people seems to be one of Trump’s favorite jokes. At a rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan last month, he joked about killing journalists. “I hate some of these people, I hate ‘em,” Trump said. “I would never kill them. I would never do that.” Then he appeared to reconsider. “Uh, let’s see, uh? No, I would never do that.”
