For Mean Girls Day, some of the cast of Mean Girls is asking for you to be nice and donate money to victims of the mass shooting in Las Vegas on Sunday.
Jonathan Bennett, Amanda Seyfried, Lacey Chabert and Daniel Franzese all asked their “groolest” fans to contribute $3 in honor of the day to their GoFundMe, the proceeds of which would be sent on to the National Compassion Fund, which will in turn go to victims of Sunday’s attack. Their goal is $300,000 and they’re currently almost at their first 10k.
October 3 is always Mean Girls Day even if you don’t officially celebrate it. In the film, Cady gets asked by homeroom hottie Aaron what day it is, and it is marked forever in her memory (and ours):
If you have a platform, you may as well use it for good, even if hearing the word “fetch” in relationship to mass murder is somewhat jarring.
You go, Glen Coco. Now, call your senators.
