The Supreme Court Might Finally Decide What to Do About Same-Sex Marriage

The Supreme Court will decide once and for all* whether gays and lesbians can get married in California and whether the federal government can effectively discriminate against same-sex couples by denying them benefits.

It's all gonna go down early next year, but rulings won't be due until the end of June. It's unclear whether the court will tackle the larger question of whether all Americans should be granted the right to marry under the Constitution.

Wow, future generations are going to read that last sentence and be like, "Tell us more about how crazy people were back in the Stone Age!" Except we'll all be communicating via gifs by then so they'll just be like:
