Teacher Suspended After Oinking Incident

"A Roane County kindergarten teacher who reportedly told students to encircle a classmate, call him a pig and make pig noises because the boy is messy, received a one-day unpaid suspension and had a letter of reprimand placed in her file."

The teacher is a 38-year vet, so we're guessing this isn't the first incident in which, reportedly, "the students in the circle were 'oinking' and making pig sounds at the little boy." Especially since it was only discovered when another teacher walked in on the scene. A reprimand issued along with the teacher's one-day suspension stated that, "To have this happen is simply unbelievable and undermines everything we try to teach children about how to treat each other." The teacher, meanwhile, says she was just fed up with the little boy's persistent sloth.

No word on the child's reaction — or whether he'll now have bad associations with pigs from here on out.
