It's finally snowing here in New York! Which means that all I want to do is stay inside and wrap myself in blankets and consume warm, soothing things. I assume we're all on the same page, so let's share some of our favorite wintery recipes.
Here's my great grandmother's stellar recipe for chicken matzo ball soup, which I shared on the San Francisco Appeal two years ago. (It gets cold there, too!) It is perfection.
I'm also considering making Deb's french onion soup tonight, because all Smitten Kitchen recipes are superb. (Although, who am I kidding? I'm still in holiday mode and will probably order Chinese. Shh.)
We can talk about non-soup foods, too: casseroles? hot toddies? Whatever you want.
