Saturday Night Live Adds 3 New Featured Players

After cast members Bobby Moynihan, Vanessa Bayer, and Sasheer Zamata left Saturday Night Live last season, the sketch show has filled their spots with three new featured players: Chris Redd, Heidi Gardner and Luke Null.

You might remember Chris Redd, a stand-up comedian, as the rebellious young rapper Hunter the Hungry from Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping who maybe, or maybe did not, or maybe did, make Connor’s penis disappear on stage.

Heidi Gardner, a Groundlings performer, has an upcoming role in Melissa McCarthy’s new movie Life of the Party and has written for Bryan Cranston’s animated show SuperMansion. And Luke Null is a comedian from Chicago who has exactly one film credit and performs musical comedy, admittedly my least favorite kind of comedy.

In addition to the players, SNL has also added several new writers include comedians Gary Richardson, Sam Jay, and Nimesh Patel, among others.
