People has chosen its annual Sexiest Straight Man of the Fall/Winter Promotional Cycle, and this year’s honor goes to the great Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. (Before you tell me he dropped “The Rock,” let me tell you to shut up. Look at this man. There is no better description of him than “The Rock,” and as long as he keeps up the gym visits, we’re keeping that in his name.)
Here’s what the “world’s highest paid actor” and star of Disney’s upcoming Moana did after learning he’d received the title:
“I said, ‘That’s awesome.’ And then what went through my mind was just how cool and exciting it is. And then I thought, ‘Wow, we’ve pretty much reached the pinnacle.’ I’m not quite too sure where we go from here. I’ve done it all, this is it.”
Or has he? Page Six is reporting that, when asked if he’d consider a run for president someday, Johnson said:
“If I felt like I could be an effective leader for us, and surround myself with really high-quality leaders, then sure, I would.”
I mean, sure. At this point in our country’s history, being People’s Sexiest Man Alive is more than enough experience to be president.

Feuds are a crucial element to an A-list pop star’s success and intrigue offstage (I’d go so far as to say they’re in the job description), and regardless of your opinion about Taylor Swift and Katy Perry, I think it’s an objective truth that they’re MASTERS at it. To them, feuding is an art, and this story by Andy Cohen is a yet another beautiful piece to hang in the gallery of their fraught relationship.
In an interview with People’s Jess Cagle, Cohen recalled being at a party with the two of them. Writes EW:
Even though Swift wasn’t talking to him, Cohen decided to interject anyway. “I said, ‘Your friend Katy is over there,’” recalls Cohen, adding that he has a history of saying exactly the wrong thing to people. “She goes, ‘Katy who?’ I go, ‘Katy Perry.’”
Apparently, Swift was far from amused.
I think what I love most about this story (beyond the “Katy who?”) is the reassurance that this feud is not a game for Swift. She keeps up appearances because, again, it’s part of the job.

I don’t really know why I’m putting this photo of Kate Hudson and Jessica Alba celebrating Jennifer Garner for receiving something called the “Giving Tree Award,” but not everything needs an explanation.
