Patty Jenkins Is Already Working on a Script for the Wonder Woman Sequel

Director Patty Jenkins is hard at work on a script for the sequel to her colossally successful Wonder Woman movie, Variety reports.

In an exclusive published in Variety on Tuesday, Jon Berg and Geoff Johns, who oversee production of DC films for Warner Bros. Pictures and have easily interchangeable names, officially announced what most had already suspected would come to pass. “Patty and I are writing treatment right now,” Johns told Variety. He added, “The goal is to make another great Wonder Woman film.” Like, yes, of course it is.

In a separate interview, Warner Bros. Pictures President and CCO Toby Emmerich told Variety that the sequel will be set in the past but not during World War I, like the first one did. To be more precise (not), it will be set sometime between World War I and now. So probably no dinosaurs or Shakespeare.

Warner Bros. Pictures has yet to confirm that Jenkins will direct the next Wonder Woman film, like she did the last, or just work on it in other capacities, and is being awfully cagey about it.
