An Oklahoma man convicted of raping an unconscious classmate was arrested again this week for being too near a high school. Three girls told Jezebel in 2014 that Tristen Killman-Hardin raped them; he was ultimately convicted of raping one victim, a 16-year-old we called Grace, whose rape Killman-Hardin was caught on tape describing. The girls all alleged that they were bullied mercilessly by other classmates after the rapes.
Killman-Hardin pleaded no contest in May 2015 to raping Grace while she was unconscious. He was sentenced to ten years in prison, with eight of them suspended. He was also required to register as a sex offender upon his release, which places restrictions on how close he can be to places like schools and parks.
Killman-Hardin was released from prison on August 12, 2016. News station KOCO reports he was arrested Wednesday and charged with violating the “safety zone” around a school.
Jezebel also learned that shortly after Killman-Hardin was released, he was suggested as a “person you may know” to his victim on Facebook.

The Norman Transcript reports that Killman-Hardin admitted he was at the school “waiting for a friend,” according to a police affidavit.
The feminist knitting group Yes All Daughters, who brought the case to national attention and advocated on behalf of Killman-Hardin’s victims, are petitioning to have the district attorney put him back in prison for the remainder of his sentence.
