NBC Orders Pilots From Amy Poehler and Rashida Jones

Amy Poehler and Rashida Jones, who both starred on NBC’s Parks and Recreation, are returning to the network with two new comedies. According to the Hollywood Reporter, NBC has ordered pilots for two shows executively produced by both women.

Poehler’s untitled comedy will be about a man who “after years of partying that earned him the ‘black sheep’ label, returns home to compete with his brother for the family throne.” She will exec produce alongside The Mindy Project writer Charlie Grandy.

Good Fortune is the name of Jones’s comedy, which will be about “a hyper-structured young woman whose life is upended when she starts taking advice from a mysterious fortune teller.” The Wrap reports Angie Tribeca, TBS’s comedy which features Jones in the lead, premiered on January 17 and has already been picked up for a second season.

NBC also gave a pilot order to a new comedy from Tina Fey based on The Mindy Project writer Tracey Wigfield’s life about an “already inseparable mother-daughter relationship that becomes more complicated when the mom accepts an internship at her daughter’s workplace.”
