Loopy Conspiracist Alex Jones Thinks Justice Scalia Was Murdered (Because His 'Gut' Told Him So)

Noted conspiracy theorist, Illuminati-believer, racist and “lovable” anti-Semite Alex Jones has made yet another grab for the spotlight. After reports of the passing of conservative U.S. Supreme Justice Antonin Scalia on February 13, the founder of the site InfoWars.com said he believes that Scalia was murdered in a government plot that makes Scandal look like the most boring fairy tale.

So how does he know this? His “gut.” (Staff writers at Law and Order: SVU, take notice.)

John Amato from Crooks and Liars just had to provoke it, sending out a tweet that pondered when “the new @RealAlexJones conspiracy theory” about Scalia’s death would surface. (Why, John. Just why.)

Sure enough, Jones posted a video to the InfoWars Facebook page—or, according to Jones, an “emergency transmission”—in which he claimed that Scalia had been murdered by the current presidential administration:

“The question is, was Antonin Scalia murdered? And the answer to that is, has the Bill of Rights and Constitution been murdered? Has it been reported that members of the Supreme Court have been blackmailed? Yes it has.”

In the video, Jones was quick to name Obama’s incentive for “murdering” Scalia in his conspiracy scenario: An “unprecendented power [grab] during his last year in office.”

Jones went on to challenge the ruling that the 79-year-old justice had died from natural causes (which was then clarified as a heart attack), declaring the term “natural causes” a euphemism.

“And I wish it was natural cause, but man, my gut tells me no,” Jones continued. “And if this is an assassination, this signifies that they are dropping the hammer.”

Of course, the kerfuffle over whether an autopsy will be performed doesn’t help stave off his theories.

In a twist even more absurd than the idea that flesh-craving koala bears are an actual thing, Jones went on to claim in his video post that Justice Clarence Thomas better watch his back, because he is definitely, absolutely, 100 percent positively going to be deader than the deadest dead.

If there were even a .000000001 percent chance any of this had a modicum of truth to it, we could dream that the Notorious RBG was the mastermind behind the left’s diabolical plot to pick off the GOP justices one by one; the American reboot of Mrs. Marple literally just wrote itself.
