The London Metropolitan Police released disturbing video on Tuesday, showing a male jogger shoving a female pedestrian out of his way and into the path of an oncoming bus that misses her by inches.

UK Police Search for Man Who Pushed Woman in Front of Bus

The CCTV footage was taken on Putney Bridge in Southwest London at 7:40 a.m. on Friday, May 5. UK police are looking for any information on the jogger, described as a white man in his mid-30s with brown eyes and short brown hair.

The woman, 33, escaped the incident with minor injuries.

“The victim was put in extreme danger when she was knocked into the road. It was only due to the superb quick reactions of the bus driver that she was not hit by the vehicle,” says Metropolitan Police Sgt. Mat Knowles.

After swerving to miss the woman, the bus driver stopped and several passengers disembarked to help. According to the victim, the jogger passed by again on his way back across the bridge 15 minutes later and ignored her as she tried to speak to him.

“We are keen to speak to the jogger in the CCTV about what happened that morning,” Sgt. Knowles states. “We would urge him or anyone who recognizes him to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”

Those with information or knowledge of the incident are asked to contact the Putney Safer Neighborhood Team at 020 8785 8874 or tweet @MetCC.

And before anyone starts to get huffy about sidewalk etiquette or how she was in his way, please note that the rules in Britain are different and even if they weren’t, you have to be a real asshole to shove someone to the ground instead of simply jogging around them on a nearly empty walkway.
