Like a Diva, Whitney Houston's Hologram Will Not Perform Because it's 'Not Ready to Air'

The Whitney Houston estate has cancelled a planned duet between Christina Aguilera and a hologram of the late singer only hours after footage of the highly-anticipated performance, which was slated for NBC’s upcoming season 10 finale of The Voice, leaked online.

Unfortunately, it looks like the 21st century’s answer to All About Eve (humans versus holographic ingenues, in case you needed to ask) will not come to fruition, mostly because it was the opposite of this:

After the video was removed by NBC, Pat Houston, the executor of the estate, cited in an official statement that the cancellation was due to the fact that the late singer’s “devoted fans deserve perfection.”

We were looking to deliver a ground breaking duet performance for the fans of both artists. Holograms are new technology that take time to perfect, and we believe with artists of this iconic caliber, it must be perfect. Whitney’s legacy and her devoted fans deserve perfection. After closely viewing the performance, we decided the hologram was not ready to air. We have much respect and appreciation for Christina, and she was absolutely flawless.

I don’t know about you, but I appreciate the fact that Whitney Houston’s hologram is channeling true diva form. If it’s “not ready to air,” then it is not ready to air.

And in case you wanted to know the Internet’s general consensus on holo-Houston’s likeness, it was....not good.

At this time, there is no word on whether the cancellation was due to a hypothetical scenario like this:
