In the three-minute preview of their new VH1 reality series, LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian reference Eddie's ex-wife Brandi Glanville nearly 10 times, even saying she needs to go to rehab for alcohol addiction. This is going to get ugly—fast.
LeAnn & Eddie, which is purportedly about the couple's love for each other, seems more like a revenge project in response to Brandi's emergence in the spotlight as a star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and the author of the New York Times #1 bestseller Drinking & Tweeting, her memoir that's largely about the breakup of her marriage with Eddie. (He cheated on her with LeAnn, and other women, while Brandi was pregnant with the couple's second child.)
Brandi has had a contentious relationship with LeAnn and Eddie to say the least. Their battles have played out in public, often over Twitter or in the tabloids. The core issue seems to be Eddie and Brandi's two sons. Brandi hates that LeAnn refers to them as her children. Eddie has refused to allow the boys to appear on the Real Housewives. Brandi returned the favor by not giving her permission for the kids to appear on LeAnn & Eddie. However, the boys do manage to pop up in the preview for the show, through third-party paparazzi footage and red carpet appearances.
Two weeks ago, VH1 posted a sneak peek scene from LeAnn & Eddie in which the couple talk shit on Brandi for the entire three minutes. It was almost immediately pulled from the site, but can still be viewed here.
Brandi has yet to respond, but it's only a matter of time.
