The Black-ish spin-off that Jezebel superstar Kara R. Brown left us for to become a staff writer has a new title and it’s Grown-Ish, as in (if I must explain): “This is grown people’s ish/shit.”
College-Ish was the previous working title for the series, which follows Yara Shahidi’s Black-ish character Zoey into the bliss and hell that is college. The show will premiere on Freeform in early 2018. Here’s video of creator Kenya Barris confirming the title change (I approve) at the Girls Trip premiere alongside Yara, whose name I’m just realizing is one letter away from Kara.
