This is why I don’t listen to podcasts!
During an episode of Dr. Berlin’s Informed Pregnancy, Hilary Duff, who recently gave birth to her second baby, a daughter named Banks, dictated a recipe for what still sounds like a harrowing placenta smoothie.
Duff said she added berries and fruit juice to the the placenta…mixture…before slurping it down. She called the concoction the “most delightful smoothie I’ve ever had…I haven’t had a smoothie that delightful since I was like 10 years old. It was calorie-filled with juice and fruit and everything delicious.”
Anyway we’ve all lost our damn minds. I’ll reveal that Duff had me right up to the point where she brings up calories. Then she lost me again when she added that she is keeping placenta ice cubes in her freezer. Notice she said the smoothie was “delightful,” that the individual ingredients were “delicious,” not that it tasted good.

In an interview with Australian magazine WHO, Nicole Kidman gave a rare comment on how she feels about her two children she adopted with ex husband Tom Cruise—Isabella, 25, and Connor, 23—having grown up to practice Scientology just like their daddy. When asked about why she has not been photographed publicly with Isabella and Connor in more than a decade, Kidman replied:
“I’m very private about all that. I have to protect all those relationships. I know 150 per cent that I would give up my life for my children because it’s what my purpose is.”
As for the Scientology business:
“They are adults. They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it’s my job to love them.”
Sounds like she freakin’ hates that her children are into this! Reading between the lines, of course.
