Here's Why the Hillary Clinton Hot Sauce Story Is Problematic for Women

Wow. So, Hillary Clinton went on the Breakfast Club and said—barely refraining herself from launching into the rest of the “Formation” chorus, we assume—that she keeps hot sauce in her bag? And apparently she’s been laying tracks for this latest act of pandering for years now? Clinton talked about hot sauce to Conde Nast Traveler in a 2012 interview:

We asked Secretary Clinton’s office what she always packs:

A small mesh bag filled with the basics: Sharpies, Advil, sunscreen. Converters to charge her BlackBerry and iPad anywhere in the world. Red pepper flakes and a mini bottle of Tabasco Sauce for adding spice to her meals.

And told the Wall Street Journal the same year that she kept hot sauce on the plane:

In her Air Force plane, which stocks fruit, almonds and Tabasco sauce, which she dribbles on nearly all foods, including salads, she slept on a foldout sofa in a private cabin.

Wow. Here’s why this is a huge problem for women. You ready? She should be carrying Cholula. Tabasco tastes like sweat.
