Editor Benjamin Wittes wrote this morning on Twitter, “You decide whether the POTUS is quoting me in context. Here’s the article. For the record, I support the decision.” The full article wasn’t shown on the morning show—just that excerpt quoted above—so you can forgive President Trump for missing that distinction.)
