Another day, another goof for libertarian presidential candidate and sneaker enthusiast Gary Johnson, who shared some misfiring thoughts on CNN’s Reliable Sources regarding attacks in Manhattan and St. Cloud, Minnesota over the weekend, just a few weeks after he failed to identify Aleppo.
“Well, first of all, just grateful that nobody got hurt,” told Brian Stelter on Sunday (via the New York Times). 29 people were injured in the Chelsea explosion, while 9 people were stabbed in St. Cloud. Johnson, a puzzled yet affable capybara who’s been separated from the herd, says he “misspoke”:
Fair enough, I guess! Johnson, along with with Green Party candidate Jill Stein, failed to qualify for the first presidential debate, effectively obliterating any remote chance (the pair are polling at 8.4% and 3.2%, respectively) either had at winning the election. But best of luck to both of these knuckleheads, whose respective decisions to stay in the race for attention and praise could potentially come with a very high, very orange price tag.
