On Downton Abbey, the house butler was blackmailed by his old partner who threatens to reveal to his employer that he used to be a vaudeville stage performer. The butler even offers to tender his resignation. Lord Grantham is swift to forgive and forget, but I wonder how that scene would have played with a woman. Read more
Prior to reading your post, I was thinking about a Nancy Reagan bio I read once, her mother was an actress and her family was ashamed because in those days it was the equivalent of being a prostitute. I wonder if there was any negative stigma to men becoming actors? Read more
Please please please let this show come back and pick up where it left off, with the same cast and everything. It was a terrific show, with a great, woman-centered storyline. It’s ridiculous that it was cancelled. Read more
He should’ve watched it. Part of business is knowing your product. It’s not like Amazon Studios has that much original programming that he didn’t have time to watch it. I don’t really expect that much from Amazon Studios in terms of original programming at this point. It seems like everything woman-centric gets… Read more

Whether he watched it or not, if this was a business decision, he should have made it after he looked at the ratings it got and if it reached a desirable audience. I watch Grey’s every week. There have been horrible episodes and storylines (Um almost ALL of Izzie’s? Denny, Ghost Sex, marrying Alex and leaving him a shell of a man), but I just adore the show even when it’s bad. My favorite characters are probably Bailey and Weber. Read more
