Perhaps forming the dream team you never knew you wanted, Juliette Binoche and Outkast’s André 3000 are set to join Robert Pattinson and Mia Goth in High Life, the English language debut from French director Claire Denis.
The film, according to Variety, “revolves around convicts who reduce their time behind bars in exchange for embarking on a dangerous mission to a black hole.”
In a statement to the press, Andrew Lauren Productions (the production house financing the film) wrote:
“It is a rare honor to work with Claire Denis. She has put together an incredible cast for what is not only her first English language feature but also her first sci-fi film after making 12 visionary films in French. This is also our first international co-production and we are committed to working with our partners to make Claire’s film a reality.”
André 3000, real name André Lauren Benjamin, was seen in ABC’s American Crime alongside Regina King in 2016. Ghost in the Shell and Clouds of Sils Maria are among Binoche’s most recent English language films.
Good luck in the black holes, everyone! I’m sure it’ll go fine!
