There is a movie from 1981 about the Sex Pistols tour in the US but has a small piece with X-Ray Spex in it. Also has a very young Billy Idol with Generation X before he broke big on his own.
I am an old and I was probably made aware and loving X-Ray Spex by 1981, the year I graduated high school. Poly’s voice and the lyrics and the production of Germ-Free Adolescents was so much BIGGER and BETTER than just dude punk.

One thing I’ll say - I knew the bad brains were important, but as a young punk in the late 80s, the only thing in print by them were there later metal albums, which I wasn’t interested in.
