We don’t normally begin Dirt Bags with casting updates about popular, long-running basic cable legal procedurals, but USA has just revealed Suits star Meghan Markle will not be returning to the show for its seventh season.
“Meghan has been a member of our family for seven years and it has been a joy to work with her,” the network said in a statement. “We want to thank her for her undeniable passion and dedication to Suits, and we wish her the very best.”
Markle was unable to be reached for comment, but insiders tell Jezebel the actress is mulling over a return to her roots: The Hallmark Channel.

David Yates, director of the Fantastic Beasts sequel has no interest in your comments about casting accused domestic abuser Johnny Depp to play Grindewald. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Yates said:
“Honestly, there’s an issue at the moment where there’s a lot of people being accused of things, they’re being accused by multiple victims, and it’s compelling and frightening,. With Johnny, it seems to me there was one person who took a pop at him and claimed something. I can only tell you about the man I see every day: He’s full of decency and kindness, and that’s all I see. Whatever accusation was out there doesn’t tally with the kind of human being I’ve been working with.”
He went on to reference statements from Depp’s exes as proof of his gentle nature. Or, at least the ones who didn’t accuse him of drunkenly beating them up.
