In an interview with the LA Times, Blake Lively revealed she was sexually harassed “regularly” by a makeup artist while shooting an unnamed movie on location. In addition to making “inappropriate” comments and “insisting” that he put lipstick on her with “his finger,” she shared this horrifying story:
“I was sleeping one night on location and I woke up and he was filming me. I was clothed, but it was a very voyeuristic, terrifying thing to do.”
Understandably unnerved, Lively reported the incident to producers, but said “nothing” was done. And then this bullshit happened:
“Finally, after three months of complaining, they called me into my trailer and said, ‘We need to talk to you.’ I thought, ‘Well finally, they’re going to do something about this man who I had to have touching me all day.’ And they said, ‘Your dog left a poop behind the toilet in your dressing room and our janitor had to pick it up. And this is very serious and we can’t have this happen again.’”
After taking matters into her own hands and consulting with a lawyer, Lively says the makeup artist was finally booted off the film, but that the “unit production manager wrote a letter of recommendation because nobody wanted there to be bad blood.”
Yes, because having bad blood with an employee is the last thing anyone wants.

Variety reports The Weinstein Company has ripped Weinstein’s name off several of his TV projects, including the Heidi Klum-hosted reality show. After the shakeup, Klum had this to say to People about Weinstein (and other men like him):
“I think it would be hard to find a woman – myself included – who have not had an experience where they have felt intimidated or threatened by a man using his power, position or his physical stature. I truly admire these brave women who are coming forward to share their stories because change cannot come unless there is a dialogue and people are held accountable.”
That statement is so good that it makes me want to take it to Red Lobster with Andrae Gonzalo, Santino Rice, and Tim Gunn.

Now that you’ve read a good statement, I thought I’d ruin your morning with a bad one, from none other than Oliver Stone. In an attempt at diplomacy gone terribly wrong, the director (who, by the way, hasn’t made a good movie in 26 years) sorta kinda defended Weinstein by spewing a long-winded version of “gotta hear both sides.”
Per THR, he said:
“I’m a believer that you wait until this thing gets to trial. I believe a man shouldn’t be condemned by a vigilante system. It’s not easy what [Weinstein is] going through, either. During that period he was a rival. I never did business with him and didn’t really know him. I’ve heard horror stories on everyone in the business. So I’m not going to comment on gossip. I’ll wait and see, which is the right thing to do.”
