O.J. Simpson Granted Parole

In news that surprises no one, O.J. Simpson has been granted parole after spending nine years in prison for armed robbery. During his hearing, which was broadcast live on most major news networks Thursday afternoon, Simpson said he has “spent a conflict-free life.” Per the Times, he will be eligible for release from prison as early as October 1, some 22 years after being acquitted of the murders of ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.
