In an interview with Fox News’ Chris Wallace on Sunday, Donald Trump, who has no idea what the office of the President entails and doesn’t give a fuck about it, confirmed reports that he is indeed receiving intelligence briefings much less frequently than previous President-elects have.
On Thursday, Reuters reported that Trump is receiving the President’s Daily Brief (PDB) once a week, even though it’s literally called a “daily brief” and that’s absolutely what it’s meant to be (of course, there’s no law saying the President-elect has to read it). In contrast, Mike Pence reportedly reads six PDB’s a week, which sounds suspiciously like he reads the rest of them. He’s like a great personal assistant but with all the national secrets of the President and then some.
Trump explained to Wallace on Sunday that he doesn’t “have to be told” what’s in all these pesky briefings because he’s “you know, like, a smart person.”
He realizes that’s not the kind of “intelligence” he was being questioned about, right?
“I don’t have to be told the same thing in the same words every single day for the next eight years. Could be eight years—but eight years. I don’t need that,” Trump continued.
Eight years, my god, what I wouldn’t give for those diabolical math smarts.
