Piper Perabo Stars in Notorious, ABC's Drama Pilot On Law And the Media

Piper Perabo doesn’t command much attention these days. You might, however, remember her moment in the early aughts when she starred as Violet Sanford in Coyote Ugly (2000) and as Rachel in the sweet lesbian romantic comedy Imagine Me & You (2005). She’s still making movies, but ABC has enlisted her for a small-screen endeavor: their drama pilot Notorious.

According to Deadline, Perabo will star opposite Daniel Sunjata as “powerhouse television producer” Julia George. Taking its inspiration from the real-life relationship between Wendy Walker, executive producer of Larry King Live, and criminal defense attorney Mark Geragos, the show will explore the nuanced linkage between the media and criminal law. Sunjata plays attorney Jake Gregorian who engages in a power play with George as the two manipulate their respective fields.

Most recently Perabo starred on USA’s Covert Affairs, as well as in the film Into the Grizzly Maze, the latter of which doesn’t look especially awesome. On the whole, she seems to have added some rather heavy material to her resumé. So why don’t we take it back to a couple of choice, lighter moments?

First, Coyote Ugly: you know you downloaded this song on Napster. (It’s ok, I still own the entire soundtrack.)

And then we have this haplessly cheesy scene from Imagine Me & You (yes, that is Lena Headey yelling “You’re a wanker, number nine!”).
