Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian, a couple undeserving of all the headlines they have received, continue to, well, do things that demand headlines (This is Dirt Bag, after all). Last night, Blac Chyna was removed from a plane in Austin, Texas for public intoxication. The Travis County’s Sheriff later charged her with possession of a controlled substance.
Eager to remind interested parties that he’s still part of this couple, Kardashian posted an Instagram early this morning:
The photo, which shows Kardashian’s face hovering in a FaceTime box, confirms, apparently, that he is “standing by his new lady.” This is further evidenced by Kardashian’s choice of emojis which are truly the emojis of committment, constancy, and love in the face of a disapproving family. The pair is practically a modern Anne Elliot and Captain Wentworth. [People; Us Weekly]
Dancing with the Stars’ Val Chmerkovskiy is being sued for $6 million after making fun of a girl with Down Syndrome on his Instagram page.
Earlier this month, Chmerkovskiy posted a meme on Instagram that featured a photo of a heavy-set child drinking a soda. Over the picture, the text read, “Letting your child become obese should be considered child abuse.” Chmerkovskiy himself wrote in the caption, “I am truly sorry for the lack of sensitivity… but on some level I have to agree. Raising a child is the hardest thing in the world, I know, but being negligent when it comes to their nutrition is a crime. The lifelong obstacles and health issues you place on your child because of it can be devastating moving forward in their life. You’re handicapping your kid, and they’re defenseless, they don’t know better, that’s why you’re there… anyway I’m just a childless preacher, but here’s some food for thought. #nopunintended.”
Now the parents of the 16-year-old girl featured in the photo are suing Chmerkovskiy for emotional distress.
In 2008, he girl was photographed by a stranger at a baseball game. The photo, given the oddly self-referential caption “Everything that’s wrong with America,” went viral. The girl’s parents claim that in addition to the distress the photo has caused, that the photo was taken and circulated without parental consent. The suit also names CBS for re-posting the photograph. [Gossip Cop]
