There are two types of adults in this world—those who still dress up for Halloween and those who do not. Which one are you?
If you do not dress up for Halloween, whatever. I get it. You think it’s a holiday for babies and that’s fine.
If you do dress up for Halloween, that’s cool, too. Cooler, actually. Like way cooler. It’s hard to hang onto your childlike wonder and enthusiasm into adulthood and you do it anyway, which, IMO, is pretty brave. Have you ever considered how heroic and scary it is to be genuinely excited and put effort into something? There’s a lot of judgement out there from people who are less creative than you, but you don’t let that bother you. You recognize that dressing up is fun and silly and—hey—maybe doing something fun and silly is exactly what you need right now. It takes a big person to recognize that and you should be proud of yourself.
If you voted, yes, great! I’m glad that you’re still able to enjoy things. If you voted no, well, uh, that’s a choice and I hope you’re doing okay.
